Grouping/Ungrouping by SOP Classes Per Repository

Details:

Grouping/Ungrouping by SOP Classes Per Repository

After a series is loaded in the worklist, all images within the series are placed in scrollable image stacks. By default, all instances in the series are grouped in one image stack; the exceptions are multi-frame instances with more than one frame, which are each given their own image stack. This default behavior can be overwritten using the Ungrouped SOP Classes table. If a DICOM SOP Class UID is added to the table, then any image in a series with that SOP class will be ungrouped and placed in its own image stack

1.1. Usage Steps

  1. From a web browser, log into the server with administrator-level credentials.

  2. Navigate to the Data Connections page under Settings and edit the desired DICOM repository.

  3. In the Advanced DICOM Properties section under the Ungrouped SOP Classes heading, you can specify which SOP Class UIDs are to be ungrouped and displayed as a separate thumbnail.

  4. Add the desired SOP Class UID to the SOP Class UID text field and click the Add SOP Class button.

  5. The SOP Class UID will be added and can be deleted from this list.

  6. Once you’re satisfied with the list of SOP Class UIDs, click the Save button.

  7. Before saving this configuration the server will perform some validation on the SOP Class UIDs entered and display the problem SOP Class UIDs in red.

  8. Delete and re-enter any problem SOP Class UIDs and save the changes.

1.2. Validation Steps

  1. From a web browser, log into the server with administrator-level or user credentials.

  2. Launch the HTML5 viewer.

  3. Identify a number of datasets; a set of datasets with SOP Class UIDs configured to be ungrouped and a set of datasets with SOP Class UIDs configured to have the default grouping behavior.

  4. Load each dataset into the viewer and note the grouping/ungrouping behavior.
